Security Clearances

For many people in the government contracting industry, a security clearance is essential to their job. We represent individuals and companies when a clearance is questioned, denied or revoked.

How we help

  • Responding to interrogatories and Statements of Reasons
  • Preparing for and representing clients at hearings before the Defense Office of Hearings and Appeals (DOHA)
  • Appeals of unfavorable decisions
  • Addressing concerns under the adjudicative guidelines, such as finances, foreign contacts, personal conduct and alcohol or drug involvement
  • Advising companies on facility clearance issues and reporting obligations

Deadlines in the clearance process are short, and the first written response often shapes the outcome. Getting advice early gives you the best chance to present mitigating information effectively.

Helpful resources

  • Defense Office of Hearings and Appeals
  • Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency
