Regulatory Compliance

Federal contractors face compliance obligations that commercial companies do not. A misstep can lead to False Claims Act exposure, suspension or debarment, or lost business. We help contractors build practical compliance programs and respond quickly when problems arise.

Areas we advise on

  • Contractor codes of business ethics and internal control systems (FAR 52.203-13)
  • The mandatory disclosure rule and internal investigations
  • Cybersecurity requirements, including DFARS 252.204-7012, NIST SP 800-171 and CMMC
  • Domestic preference rules: the Buy American Act and the Trade Agreements Act
  • Small business size and socioeconomic status certifications
  • Labor standards, including the Service Contract Act and Davis-Bacon Act
  • The Anti-Kickback Act, gratuities and procurement integrity rules
  • Government audits and requests for records

When an issue surfaces, early advice matters. We can help evaluate whether a disclosure is required, conduct a privileged internal review, and communicate with the contracting officer or agency counsel.

Helpful resources

  • Acquisition.gov: the FAR and agency supplements
  • CMMC program rule (Federal Register)
